A short distance from the capital is the city of Telde, highlighting the beauty of its historic center in the San Francisco neighborhood, along with small beaches such as Salinetas, La Garita y Melenara. Further southeast, the municipalities ofe Agüimes, Ingenio y Santa Lucía de Tirajana are home to places like Pozo Izquierdo, one of the world’s best beaches for windsurfing. In the south of the island, the paradisiacal and extensive golden sandy beaches Maspalomas dunes and Playa del Inglés await you amidst a spectacular dune desert declared a Special Nature Reserve and an oasis represented by its pond.

If you continue west, you will reach the municipality of Mogán, which includes tourist centers such as Arguineguín, Puerto Rico, Patalavaca, Amadores and Taurito. The port of Mogán stands out, known as Little Venice, for its small canals. Then, we arrive at the municipality of La Aldea de San Nicolás de Tolentino, characterized by a landscape of rugged ravines. In the central area of the southern slope, between Santa Lucía and San Bartolomé de Tirajana, you can visit the palm grove and the Sorrueda dam, places of great natural beauty. Additionally, this area boasts large dams such as Chiras, Las Niñas, or Soria, which add a peculiar touch to the landscape.
